Gaussian Splatting (GS) has gained significant attention for its highly realistic visual quality and detailed real-time rendering capabilities; however, its integration into visual effects workflows remains relatively unexplored. Compared to traditional modeling and shading workflows, GS enables the rapid generation of high-quality assets through photogrammetry, preparing them directly for the visual effects stage and thereby accelerating the overall production process to a certain extent. As GS can essentially be interpreted as a materialized particle cloud, this project aims to investigate methods for rapidly creating realistic particle effects based on GS assets in order to optimize particle FX workflows. In addition, this project will also explore the use of GS in 3D compositing workflows to achieve greater flexibility and control within 3D workspaces.
